- Jobs became billionair because of Pixar not because of apple. JObs owned 80% of Pixar and it was basically an hardware firm which were working on the device for the animation. in 1989 it won oscars in short animated movie category which changed thing for the firm. Now job started fousing the firms focus on story telling and producing animation. IN 1994 it struck a deal with Disney and Produced an record breaking movie - Toy Story. After which Job intantly made Pixar public and became billionair
